Ingredients: - 1 cup heavy cream (whipping) - 1 cup milk - 1/3 cup sugar - 2 tsp vanilla extract Instructions: - Whisk together milk + Sugar - Gently stir in the heavy cream and vanilla - Freeze according to ice cream machine instructions. Variations (Add these as it starts to freeze): - Oreo cookies -- Crushed - Oregon Hood strawberries -- About a pint. 1/2 puree and 1/2 chopped - Mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (goes nice with strawberries too) - Carmel - Liquor - Chopped nuts - Graham crackers TIP: - AFter making ice cream, put the container you want to store it in the freezer. That way it won't melt when you transfer from machine to bowl. - Let ice cream freeze some more in freezer after making for best texture / thickness.
